#OCCUPATIONS SKILLS REVOLUTION
Occupations (Macro Credential) are quickly taking the place of the need for an Educational Qualification to get into recruitment/job offer room.
Occupations are built on competencies (Micro-Credentials) and these are what change, to keep a person relevant in a job
Problem:
Highly skilled and often the best person for the job, but without an expensive ever-dating education, these brilliant people are not able to get into the interview room.
The injustice that #education is the only way to a job, for the #privileged few, can no longer remain. What if they could benchmark their skill against European/Canadian Occupations to prove their competence?

"Some 75% of employers in 21 European countries could not find workers equipped with the right skills in 2023. This was up from 42% in 2018, an increase of 33 percentage points. And there's no sign of demand for skilled workers slowing any time soon." https://www.euronews.com/business/2024/04/08/eu-jobs-crisis-as-employers-say-applicants-dont-have-the-right-skills
The African Skills Revolution is a growing movement that celebrates the skills which a person's informal, and non-formal learning has produced. Competence! This can FINALLY be rewarded by a Micro-credential (skill) or Macro-Credential (Occupation) (not a qualification), that will provide the pathway into the recruitment room - without the formal path of expensive #education.

So with over 1500 occupations captured in the EU Occupations Framework we have begun, converting One-Occupation-At-A-Time.
