Conduct Assessment

Description

For a learner to be found competent, they need to be assessed by a subject matter expert, this can be an accredited / registered Assessor, or . a Supervisor, manager, or project lead.

This person is known as an Primary Assessor and this describes how they validate the evidence in the portfolio against the standards..

PROCESS

  1. Log into P4P. (Click Here)

  2. You will land on your homepage, choose the learner that you want to assess.
     

Step 1: Access and Assess the Portfolio of Evidence Item.

  1. Open ePortfolio folder. Click on Item Name in the ePortfolio.

  2. Download the P.O.E. item/evidence

  3. Open the Evidence Item and validate it (with ticks and crosses if you must)

          3a. Where the learner is found Not Yet Competent (NYC), in the portfolio add a comment, both here and copy and paste
                   into the checklists

    4. Load the assessed item as a new version in the ePortfolio folder .


Step 2: Conduct the Assessment in P4P

  1. From your homepage in P4P, open the checklist to access the assessment criteria. (linked to the P.O.E.)

  2. Rate the learner in the checklist area.

         Rating Scale: 
         
1. No Evidence added (or found). Remember to make a comment here that they must submit evidence.

         2. NYC (3a above), add a comment in the comment area of what the remedial work must be. (This would be the same
                                                 comment that you made in the evidence item.  All comments are sent to learners and date stamped
                                                 and tracked.
         3. Competent: Well done not comment required, but an added comment shows support

         4. Over Performer: If the candidate has done more that asked for, give them an over over-performer status.

    3. Save or sign off the assessment.
